Free Mission Mode (Added 20-Jul-98) Using the "EXTRA" Aircraft Mode, finish the game and see the Normal or Bonus Ending. After the "START GAME" option at the Title Screen, the "FREE MISSION" option will appear. Now, you can play all the missions you have discovered so far. Bad Ending (Added 20-Jul-98) On the 19th mission, "Kingpin", be sure to shoot down the skilled enemy pilot, Z.O.E. You will then be able to play the 20th mission, "Last Resort". Do not shoot down the cruise missile that's launched to see this "Bad Ending". Bonus Ending (Added 20-Jul-98) On the 20th mission, "Last Resort", be sure to shoot down the cruise missile. You will then be able to play the 21st mission, "Fighter's Honor". Finish this mission to see this "Bonus Ending". How To See The Normal Ending (Added 20-Jul-98) Play the game up to the 19th mission, "Kingpin". Finish the mission WITHOUT shooting down the skilled enemy pilot Z.O.E. (The enemy plane that is marked as 'DANGER' in the Briefing Screen.) New Mission (Added 20-Jul-98) While playing the 7th mission "SLEDGE HAMMER", ESCORTING OUR ATTACK OPERATION make sure to kill all of the transport ships including the gun launchers on the ship (There are 2 ships). If you shoot them and complete the mission, the next mission will have 2 choices - "RISING HIGH" HIGH ALTITUDE CHASE and the new mission "CUCKOO'S NEST" INTERRUPT THE ENEMY'S SUPPLY OPERATION. Hint: Shoot the parachutes down before they reach the ground and use machine guns. View The Aircraft In 3D (Added 20-Jul-98) Remember all those Skilled Enemy Pilots that are marked as "DANGER!" on the Briefing Screen? If you manage to shoot every single one of them down and complete your collection of medals on the Statistics Screen, a new option will appear in the Options Menu. All the planes you have encounter so far (both yours and the enemies') may be now seen in 3D! You may rotate the cool planes around, and even zoom in and out! XFA-27 PLANE (Added 13-Apr-98) To get the mother of all fighters-the XFA-27 you must: Complete the game on the normal level, Play on hard level until you reach the "low altitude attack mission"(I can't remember the codename). There is a special squadron over the south of the target called Fox Force Four. It consists of four YF-23A's . Destroy all four and on the debriefing screen you will get a lovely new medel and the new aircraft available message will appear. The XFA-27 is one mean plane. Trust me. It also looks awesome- like a cross between a tomcat an f-15s and a flanker and yf23. It can fire four missiles at a time and has unrivalled flight characteristics. Happy Flying . MUSIC TEST Complete the game with a higher rank than First Lieutenant. Now Music Player mode will appear in the options menu. Any of the 28 music tracks on the game disc can be selected. Press L1 or L2 to jump to the next track, R1 or R2 to jump to the previous track, Circle to select track, SELECT to toggle the screen, and Square, Triangle or X to quit. LOCK REPLAY MODE Hold the Map button down during a replay to lock the camera. ALTERNATE MISSION MAP VIEW Highlight the 'Mission' option on the Mission Selection screen, and press SELECT. Three new viewing angles can now be selected. DISPLAY REAR VIEW OF SONY ANALOGUE CONTROLLER Press SELECT at the control configuration screen. |
