Ever had the problem of getting mowed down right from the start?
Getting blasted from every direction no matter what you do?
This is really all very easy to avoid.
What I'm suggesting may sound a bit suicidle, but trust me,
I've done it for years. To avoid those nasty alien rushs or four
front attacks, the easiest thing to do is to send your troops with
the highest reaction rate to the core of the enemy vessel.
Note that this is not always true.
I have provided a list of areas you should consider simply staying in.
Small: No real place, too small.
Small/Medium scout:Near power source or entrance.
Medium/Abuducter:No area. They seem to stay in the command area so go up
there, slowly.
Large:One troop near lv. 1 lift, at least one other checking nearby access door.
Large/Terror:Keep units facing towards the corridors from just inside the access
door. Really important if you have to fight Chrysilydes (whatever).
Battleship: Swarm the entrance, but stay at least 2-3 blocks on the outside.
If your troops have good reaction, prepare for a blood bath. You may
want to keep at least one looking towards the outsides.
IMPORTANT:This is a camping manevuer. DO NOT move unless you are being consistently
shot at and can not return fire. This is most often a problem with the time of day
(your troops can't see very far).
Bases:Yes, this does work with bases too. Keep at least 2-4 troops in one area, where
they can see all of the corridors. Once they start coming in greater numbers, move to
the exits and stand looking at them from the second lv. Slaughter time. This also keeps
those annoying blaster bombs that the Commanders send from hitting you. Once they start
panicing, and yes, they will, starting making sweeps around to work as a mop-up crew.
Easy and effective. The perfect combo. If you would like a copy of my very legit troops
(I only keep 2-6), write me and I will send them to you. Please save often, for the sake
of your men. Don't waste their lives.
